Our History
Elin Pelin Foundation was established in June 2012 to promote Bulgarian cultural traditions and national heritage. We strive to unite Bulgarian-Americans in the greater Houston area and promote our customs and language across the entire community.
What We Do
Elin Pelin Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that
provides educational classes, social events,
cultural performances, and networking events to enrich our local community.
Our projects include:
- First Bulgarian School “Elin Pelin” – established to instruct children in Bulgarian
language, literature, history and geography. - “Elin Pelin” Library – a collection of over 1,200 periodicals, books, and educational publications in Bulgarian, English, and Russian.
- Elin Pelin Social Events – projects that foster appreciation for the performing arts and
provide opportunities to promote business networking among Houstonians.
